iDisk on the iMac OS X
From: Robert Steinberg

After a lot of work, and many loops in following your instructions in the OS X Missing Manual, I finally got enrolled in an iTools account, including email and iCards, but the iDisk still eludes me. When I feel that I'm almost there, and I click on the iDisk icon at the Apple site, I'm informed once again that I just have to use one of the methods in your book, such as Finder --> Go --> iDisk (starting from scratch), and none of this works. Can you help me, please? On the whole, I enjoy your book, as well as your articles in The New York Times.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Robert,
I don't know for sure why you can't bring the iDisk onto your screen from the Apple Web site. This is really a question for Apple. But I have two questions for you:
Isn't it easier to choose the iDisk from the Go menu anyway (or just press command-option-I)?
Are you aware that in a few weeks, Apple is going to discontinue the entire iTools program? At that point, you'll be able to use the iDisk only if you're willing to pay $100 per year--an extremely unpopular decision.
